Welcome to The Green Cupcake. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a clear understanding between us and help provide the best possible experience.

1. About Us

The Green Cupcake is a home-based cake studio based in Swindon, Wiltshire, creating bespoke cakes and sweet treats for collection and local delivery.

2. Placing an Order

Orders can be placed through our website, enquiry form, email or social media.

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

A booking is confirmed only once:

• We have agreed the design and price.
• Any required deposit has been received.
• You receive confirmation from us.

We reserve the right to decline any order.

3. Bespoke Cakes

Every cake is individually handmade.

As all products are handcrafted, slight variations in colour, decoration, texture and finish should be expected and are not considered faults.

Reference photographs are used as inspiration only. We cannot guarantee an exact replica of another baker's work.

4. Design Changes

Design changes are welcome up to 7 days before collection or delivery, where possible.

Changes requested after this time may not be possible and may incur additional charges.

5. Pricing

All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£).

Prices may change without notice, but confirmed bookings will not be affected.

Additional costs may apply for:

• Delivery
• Last-minute orders
• Premium decorations
• Fresh flowers
• Special dietary requests

6. Deposits & Payments

A non-refundable booking deposit may be required to secure your order.

The remaining balance must be paid before collection or delivery.

Orders that remain unpaid may be cancelled without notice.

7. Cancellations

As our products are made to order:

• Cancellations made more than 7 days before collection or delivery may receive a refund of payments made, excluding any non-refundable booking deposit.
• Cancellations within 7 days are generally non-refundable as ingredients will have been purchased and work will have commenced.

8. Collection

Customers are responsible for transporting cakes safely after collection.

Please inspect your cake before leaving.

Once collected, responsibility for the cake transfers to the customer.

9. Delivery

We offer local delivery within our delivery area.

Please ensure someone is available to receive your order.

Once the cake has been accepted by the customer or recipient, responsibility transfers to the customer.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage occurring after delivery.

10. Cake Care

Customers are responsible for following the storage and care instructions provided.

Cakes should be stored in appropriate conditions and protected from heat, direct sunlight and excessive movement.

Damage caused by incorrect storage or transportation is not our responsibility.

11. Allergens

Our kitchen handles ingredients including:

• Milk
• Eggs
• Wheat (Gluten)
• Soy
• Peanuts
• Tree Nuts

Although we take great care, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens due to the shared kitchen environment.

Customers are responsible for informing us of any allergies before placing an order.

12. Non-Edible Decorations

Some cakes may contain:

• Dowels
• Support rods
• Cake boards
• Wires
• Decorative picks
• Ribbon
• Non-edible toppers

These must be removed before serving.

13. Colours

Food colouring may temporarily stain mouths, hands, clothing or surfaces.

Very dark colours (particularly black, red and navy) often require additional colouring and may have a slight effect on flavour.

14. Photographs

We may photograph completed cakes for use on our website, social media and promotional material.

If your cake is for a private event and you would prefer it not to be shared, please let us know before collection or delivery.

15. Intellectual Property

All photographs, logos, branding, website content and original cake designs created by The Green Cupcake remain our intellectual property.

They may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

16. Complaints

If you are unhappy with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of collection or delivery.

Where possible, please provide clear photographs and details of your concern.

We will investigate fairly and work towards an appropriate resolution where required.

18. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failure to fulfil an order due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, illness, accidents, supplier shortages, power failures or other unforeseen events.

If this occurs, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss available options.

19. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
